Our corgis are very much part of our lives and the garden. Their strong personalities, quirky habits, and affection bring joy and some destruction; we love them dearly and can’t imagine a corgi-free existence.
The corgis are:
Duncan, a 5-year old tri Pembroke Welsh Corgi, raised from cute puppydom.

Lexi, a petite 6-year old tri Pembroke Welsh Corgi, rescued in November 2010.

Affectionately known as Mr and Mrs Corgi.
Duncan is the noise machine (read “the barker”). He’s got to be in the middle of everything, commanding love or edibles, or both. Mr D, Dunks, Dunkie is an anxious corgi; life is serious, tennis balls are for what exactly? Duncan is ALPHA dog in all rooms of the house, except the kitchen, where Lexi is in charge. If left to his own devices, he would rule us from the back of the leather chairs and have an endless supply of edibles at any time of the day.
Lexi has settled nicely into our household. She’s got a very sweet nature and entertains us daily with little vocalizations or “yips” when she’s excited. Lexi loves retrieving frisbees and staring incessantly at the caged love birds who share her bedroom. Lexi loves to run, away from you, outside of the fenced back garden. She graciously fills her role as second dog, as long as HE does not come near her food or come into the kitchen when meals are being prepared.
